Data Center and Export Evaluation from the Electronics and Electrical Exporters' Association
TET executives emphasized that Turkey should take a share from global data center investments and shared the sector's export figures.
Executives of the Electronics and Electrical Exporters' Association evaluated the sector's export data and new investment areas, stating that there are major opportunities for Turkey in global data center investments.
Export Growth Targets
Mehmet Kavaklıoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics and Electrical Exporters' Association, said that in the new period, the sector should focus on digital transformation, efficiency, new distribution channels, company and brand acquisitions, and opening up to new markets.
Stating that they export to over two hundred countries and represent more than four thousand exporting members, Kavaklıoğlu conveyed that the sector's exports have shown a steady increase over the years.
Sector Export Data
It was announced that the sector's export figures rose from fourteen and a half billion dollars in 2021 to eighteen billion dollars in 2025.
It was reported that exports in the January-August period of the year two thousand and twenty-six reached twelve comma eight billion dollars.
Global Data Center Investments
Burak Başeğmezler, Vice Chairman of the TET Board of Directors, stated that massive budget data center investments will be made globally in the coming years.
Başeğmezler noted that data center investments amounting to seven trillion dollars by the year two thousand and thirty and thirty trillion dollars by the year two thousand and fifty will be realized.
Data Center Association Initiative
It was emphasized that Turkey needs to take part in this major economic activity.
In this direction, information was shared that a button has been pressed to establish a data center association.
Export Growth to the US Market
Board Member Devrim Eroğlu drew attention to the significant rise in exports to the United States of America.
Eroğlu stated that exports to the US increased by forty-seven percent last year and forty percent this year, with the rise in transformer exports particularly standing out.
