Details of the 15,000 Social Rental Housing Project in Istanbul Announced
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced the application requirements and rental fees for the social rental housing project to be implemented in Istanbul.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum shared the details of the 15,000 social rental housing project with the public, in addition to the 100,000 social houses to be built in Istanbul by TOKİ.
Project Distribution and Duration
The rental houses to be built within the scope of the project are planned in the districts of Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, Üsküdar, Maltepe, Tuzla, Kartal, Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu, Güngören, and Arnavutköy.
The houses will be rented for three years, and at the end of this period, new beneficiaries will be determined again by a drawing method.
What Are the Application Requirements
To benefit from the campaign, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, married, and a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
Additionally, requirements include a monthly household income of less than 100 thousand liras, residing in Istanbul for at least one year, and not having a registered residence in the title deed.
Rental Prices and Application Date
Determined well below market rates, initial rental prices start from 10 thousand liras for 1+1 apartments, 12 thousand liras for 2+1 apartments, 15 thousand liras for 3+1 apartments, and 18 thousand liras for 4+1 apartments.
It was reported that applications will begin to be accepted on September 14 and beneficiaries will be determined immediately.
Key Delivery Date
It was announced that the keys to the first 1,071 rental homes will be delivered to their owners in October with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
