Diesel Prices Exceed 100 Liras in Major Cities
Following recent price hikes, the liter price of diesel in major cities has surpassed the 100 TL threshold, while the gap between gasoline and diesel prices has also widened.
With the new price hikes, diesel prices in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir have risen above the 100 TL level, breaking all-time records.
Current Prices in Major Cities
Following the price hike implemented at midnight, diesel prices exceeded the 100 TL level in major cities.
On the European side of Istanbul, diesel became 100.31 TL, on the Asian side 100.19 TL, in Ankara 101.43 TL, and in İzmir 101.70 TL.
Difference Between Gasoline and Diesel
The liter price of gasoline settled at around 80.31 TL on the European side of Istanbul, 81.25 TL in Ankara, and 81.52 TL in İzmir.
Following these latest increases, the price difference between diesel and gasoline reached approximately 20 TL.
Brent Crude Oil Levels
Brent crude oil prices, which were around 70 dollars before the Iran war, rose above 105 dollars.
Tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and risks regarding energy facilities have heightened concerns over physical oil supply.
