Diesel Prices Set to Exceed 100 TL in Istanbul with Upcoming Hike

Expected Prices After the Hike
Before the hike, the price per liter of diesel in Istanbul stands at 95.60 TL on the European Side and 95.46 TL on the Anatolian Side.
With the anticipated 4.68 TL increase, the price per liter is projected to rise to 100.28 TL on the European Side and 100.14 TL on the Anatolian Side.
Impact Rate at the Pump
The said increase is expected to reflect on diesel prices on both sides at a rate of approximately 4.90 percent.
The new prices are planned to be reflected at the pump as of Thursday, September 17.
Taxes Projected for October
The upward trend in fuel prices is expected to continue in October.
In October, an addition of 6 lira under the Special Consumption Tax and 1 lira 20 kuruş under the Value Added Tax is projected.
Total Additional Burden
Starting October 1, a total additional burden of 7 lira 20 kuruş is expected to be added to the current liter prices.
