Distribution of Canteen Cards Begins for Students in Need in Istanbul
Within the framework of the project implemented in cooperation with the Istanbul Governorate and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, 50,000 eligible students are provided with a monthly support of 2,000 liras.
Within the scope of the "One Meal from the Heart" project implemented by the Istanbul Governorate under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, Canteen Cards loaded with 2,000 liras each month were distributed for students in need to use in school canteens.
Introduction of the 'One Meal from the Heart' Project
The promotional program of the "One Meal from the Heart" project, spearheaded by the Istanbul Governorate, was held at Fatih Hattat Rakım Secondary School. The program took place with the participation of Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, and details regarding the project were shared with the public.
Details of the Canteen Card Application
Delivered to students in need determined according to the criteria of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, the Canteen Cards cannot be used as cash. These cards are supported with a balance of 2,000 liras every month, valid exclusively in school canteens.
Scope and Target Number of Students
In cases where there are multiple students within the same family, a separate card is given to each child. While cards have been delivered to 50,000 children meeting the criteria in the current phase, the project aims to reach a total of 100,000 students.
