E-export seller rate reaches 40 percent in Şanlıurfa
With local businesses opening up to international markets, Şanlıurfa has achieved a remarkable growth momentum in the field of e-exports.
According to data announced by Trendyol, the number of e-export sellers in Şanlıurfa increased by 44.2 percent over the past year, while overseas orders rose by 108.5 percent.
Major Surge in E-Exports
According to Trendyol data, participation in e-exports in Şanlıurfa gained very strong momentum over the past year, with the number of sellers registering a 44.2 percent increase.
Growth in orders received from abroad doubled compared to the previous year, reaching 108.5 percent.
Digitalization and Trade Networks
In Şanlıurfa, which recently hosted TEKNOFEST and became the center of the technology and digitalization agenda, businesses are expanding their trade networks.
Featuring a strong agricultural production, textile, and agriculture-based industrial infrastructure, e-commerce in the city enables local businesses to open up to international markets.
Rate Above Turkey's Average
It was reported that approximately 40 percent of active Trendyol sellers in Şanlıurfa engage in e-exports, and this rate remains above Turkey's average.
Azerbaijan ranks first on the route of e-exports from the city, while this network extends from the Gulf countries to Central and Eastern Europe.
Targeting Connection with World Markets
Mehmet Yetim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, evaluated the situation by drawing attention to the city's e-export potential.
Yetim stated that they continue their efforts with the aim of connecting more local brands with world markets.
