Turkey Investment Conference Begins
According to a statement by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), the 19th Turkey Investment Conference, organized by the DEİK Turkey-US Business Council (TAİK) in New York, is taking place from September 21-23.
Economic Outlook and Investment Opportunities
On the first day of the conference, the 'Turkey's Economic Outlook and Investment Opportunities Meeting' was held in cooperation with Citi. Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Governor Fatih Karahan attended the meeting.
The roadmap of the Medium-Term Program and Turkey's investment environment were conveyed to the participants at this meeting.
Minister Şimşek Emphasizes Economic Resilience
Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that despite difficult global conditions and the war in the region, the Turkish economy is strong and resilient.
Şimşek noted that a low debt-to-GDP ratio, decreasing external vulnerabilities, increasing international reserves, and the exit from FX-protected deposits (KKM) have enhanced the economy's resilience.
Sectoral Opportunities Offered to Investors
Stating that Turkey is a large economy growing strongly compared to its peers, Şimşek noted that significant opportunities exist in the defense industry, tourism, health tourism, and digital services exports.
Industry and High Technology Meeting
The 'Industry and High Technology Roundtable Meeting' was held with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. At the meeting, Turkey's potential in high-tech manufacturing was evaluated and the HIT30 Investment Incentive Program was introduced.
Evaluations from the Business World
DEİK President Nail Olpak drew attention to the importance of cooperation between Turkey and the US in industry and high technology.
TAİK President Murat Özyeğin stated that despite geopolitical and economic challenges, Turkey maintains its determination in the disinflation process and its will for reform.

The Turkey Investment Conference Evening Reception was held at the historic New York Public Library with the participation of more than 400 representatives from the Turkish and American business worlds.
