Investigation into Social Media Posts Following the Incident in Manisa
Interior Minister Çiftçi announced that 18 accounts making provocative posts following the incident in Manisa have been identified and legal action has been initiated for numerous internet addresses.
Interior Minister Çiftçi shared with the public the ongoing efforts regarding provocative and dezenformative posts made on social media following the incident that occurred in Manisa.
Cybercrime Combating Efforts
Artificial intelligence-supported cyber open-source monitoring and control activities carried out by the Department of Cyber Crime Combating continue uninterrupted.
Identified Accounts
A total of 18 social media accounts were identified, consisting of 6 domestic accounts determined to have made attack-content posts and 12 accounts making provocative and dezenformatif posts.
It was officially announced by authorities that out of the total 18 identified accounts, 17 are located domestically and 1 is abroad.
Access Block and URL Requests
Acting in coordination with the Manisa Police Department's Cyber Crime Combating Branch Directorate, content removal and access blocking were requested for 47 URL addresses.
Measures Against Gathering Calls
It was reported that certain posts containing calls to gather in the provinces of Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul were also identified and the relevant units were informed about the matter.
