Economists' August Inflation Expectations Announced
Economists participating in the survey for August CPI increase shared an average expectation of 1.86 percent. Annual inflation is projected to decline.
Market expectations have become clear and economists' estimates have been shared ahead of the August inflation data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday, September 3.
August CPI Expectation
20 economists participating in the AA Finance Inflation Expectation Survey estimated the August CPI increase at 1.86 percent. Economists' inflation expectations for August ranged between 1.25 percent and 2.10 percent.
Annual Inflation Forecast
According to the average of economists' inflation expectations for August, annual inflation, which was 31.75 percent in July, is expected to decline to 31.52 percent in August.
Year-End and Past Data
On the other hand, the average of economists' year-end inflation expectations stood at 29.49 percent. The Consumer Price Index had recorded an increase of 1.78 percent in the previous month, July.
