Along with the financial support, it was noted that the operational support of EU institutions has been coordinated and that relevant agencies have responded positively to Spain's request.
Border Security and Infrastructure Investments
Within the scope of the funding, it is planned to strengthen border surveillance, develop security-related infrastructure, and deploy additional personnel and equipment.
Developments in the Region
Following thousands of irregular migrants swimming from the shores of Fnideq, Morocco, to Ceuta, the Spanish government had decided to deploy armed forces to the region.
