Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced significant changes for breeders within the scope of livestock support during his statement in Erzurum, reporting that with the new model, vaccination and identification procedures are now free of charge.

A New Era in Supports Has Begun

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made important statements regarding the livestock sector at the opening program of the Turkish Red Meat Producers Central Union's facility in Erzurum. Minister Yumaklı stated that livestock supports have reached a total of 654 billion liras over the past 24 years.

Stating that a three-year production planning and support model has been implemented for the first time, officials noted that the renewed system aims to bring long-term stability to the sector.

Vaccination and Identification Fees Abolished

Within the framework of the renewed support model, it was reported that a brand-new item has been created this year under animal and herd health support. In this context, it has become clear that vaccination and identification fees will no longer be collected from breeders.

It was emphasized that with the new regulation, approximately 6 billion liras of resources have been allocated solely for this item, and the said practice will provide significant financial relief to producers.

Additional Privileges for Erzurum

It was announced that additional positive discrimination in four different categories is provided to beef and dairy cattle breeders in Erzurum, which is among the 16 provinces included in the production planning.

In this context, it was conveyed that calf support, interest discounts on Ziraat Bank agricultural loans, raw milk support, and forage crop support will be offered to producers in the region.
