Five suspects arrested in capital markets transactions investigation

Five top executives referred to the courthouse within the scope of the capital markets transactions investigation conducted in Istanbul were arrested and sent to prison.

Emre Tezmen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tera Yatırım Holding; Emre Alkin, Member of the Board of Directors of Tera Yatırım Holding; Kerem Alkin, Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Tera Yatırım; Alper Öztürk, General Manager of Tera Portföy; and Serdar Turhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pusula Holding, who were detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding transactions in the capital market, were arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace to which they were referred.

Investigation and Arrest Process

Investigations carried out regarding transactions executed in the capital market by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Investigation Bureau are ongoing.

The procedures of the five suspects who were detained and referred to the courthouse were completed at the criminal judgeship of peace, and the judgeship decided to arrest them in line with the prosecutor's request.

Capital Markets Board Report

In the statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on September 21, the inspection report dated September 17 by the Capital Markets Board was included.

It was officially reported in the report that market manipulation was detected in the shares of Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman A.Ş.

Judicial Proceedings and Asset Measures

It was stated that judicial proceedings were initiated against a total of 25 suspects and 15 suspects were detained within the scope of the investigation conducted regarding Katılımevim shares.

Additionally, within the framework of the financial dimension of the investigation, it was stated that the assets of managers and authorized personnel connected to numerous holding and portfolio management companies were frozen.
