Non-resident foreign investors returned to selling in the equity market during the week ending October 2, while extending their selling trend in the bond sector to a third week.

Directional shift in equities

Foreign investors, who were on the buying side in recent weeks, carried out selling-heavy transactions in equities during the week of October 2.

During this period, total equity sales by foreign investors reached $189.9 million.

Bond sales continue

Foreign investors extended their selling activity in the bond market to a third consecutive week, with outflows gaining momentum.

Bond sales, which stood at $404 million the previous week, increased to $498 million in the week of October 2, bringing total bond sales over the last three weeks to over $1 billion.
