Foreign investors show buying trend in the stock market
According to Central Bank data, international investors continued their stock purchases for the second consecutive week.
According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, non-resident foreign investors made stock purchases amounting to $150.2 million in the week ending August 21.
Stock purchases continue
Based on figures reflected in the data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, foreign investors, who remained on the selling side for a long time, continued the buying trend they started in recent weeks.
Data for the last week announced
Non-resident investors contributed to market activity by purchasing a total of $150.2 million worth of stocks during the week of August 21.
Outlook of the previous week
Foreign investors' first stock purchase after a seven-week break had been recorded at the level of $176 million in the week of August 14.
Movements in the bond market
Following strong bond purchases, foreign investors turned to sales the previous week, and in the week of August 21, they resumed bond purchases, albeit at a low level.
Foreign investors purchased $9 million worth of bonds during the week in question, while non-residents' bond sales in the previous week were at the level of $290 million.
