Global Business Leaders Gather for COP31 New York Dialogue
The forum, organized in partnership with TOBB and Bloomberg, will bring together global private sector representatives within the framework of New York Climate Week.
The COP31 Business Forum New York Dialogue, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and Bloomberg, is preparing to bring leading names of the international business world together in New York.
New York Climate Week Opening Event
The meeting will be held as the opening event of the Bloomberg Green New York program within the scope of New York Climate Week.
More than 300 senior executives from the international business world are expected to attend the gathering, which will start at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 22, at Bloomberg Headquarters.
Opening Speeches and Guest of Honor
The opening speeches of the meeting will be delivered by TOBB President and COP31 Business Forum President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Bloomberg founder Michael Bloomberg.
COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, as the guest of honor of the meeting, will present the COP31 Action Agenda at the United Nations on September 21.
Private Sector Response Panel and Speakers
Important figures will deliver speeches in the panel titled Private Sector Response to the COP31 Action Agenda.
Among the panelists are Koç Holding Deputy Chairman of the Board Ali Koç, IEA President Fatih Birol, IFC Managing Director Makhtar Diop, and ICC Secretary General John Denton.
Process Leading to the Antalya Summit
TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized regarding the issue that governments sign and the business world implements.
The New York program of the COP31 Business Forum will continue with thematic meetings between September 22-25, and the results of the working groups will be announced in Antalya on November 12-13.
