Safety Precaution in Stationery Shopping
With the intensification of stationery shopping alongside the opening of schools, experts state that product safety and health standards must be kept at the forefront. It is requested that the contents of products directly touched by children be carefully examined.
Public Inspections and Manufacturer Responsibility
Pointing out that parents do not have the opportunity to inspect the production conditions of products, it is stated that important duties fall on public institutions regarding the prevention of substances harmful to health.
Warnings Against Harmful Chemicals
It is recommended to check TSE and CE marks during shopping, and to be careful against the risks of azo dyes in bags and textiles, phthalates in erasers, nickel in metal products, and Bisphenol A in water bottles.
Ministry Inspection Reports and Sanctions
It is stated that during the inspections carried out by the Ministry of Trade in 81 provinces, thousands of businesses and products were examined, and administrative sanctions were applied to businesses that did not comply with the rules.
Consumer Rights and Consumer Arbitration Committee Applications
It is noted that parents should check label information, manufacturer details, and age warnings, and can also apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees for consumer disputes.
