Hue University of Economics Holds 60th Cohort Opening Ceremony

Hue University of Economics organized the opening ceremony for the 2026-2030 academic year on September 20, welcoming over 2,800 new students and stepping into a new era in its nearly 60-year history.
Start of the New Academic Year
Hue University of Economics officially welcomed more than 2,800 new students with the opening ceremony held for the 60th cohort (2026-2030 academic year).
Meaning of the HUE Philosophy
During his speech at the ceremony, Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Tan Quan shared how the letters composing the name HUE symbolize the institution's educational philosophy.
Accordingly, the letter H represents a hybrid and holistic structure, the letter U stands for unique and universal qualities, and the letter E represents an experiential and elite approach.
Messages for Generation Z
The university management advised Generation Z students starting the new term to use technology with confidence and remain active in their knowledge-acquisition processes.
It was particularly emphasized that students should embrace the spirit of learning by doing throughout their academic lives.
Scholarships and Financial Support
During the ceremony, scholarship support totaling 52 million VND was presented to high-achieving new students.
Additionally, scholarships were provided to students in difficult circumstances under the "Wings of Dreams" program, offering financial aid to 45 disadvantaged new students.
