Intensive Inspections on the Stationery Sector Ahead of the New Academic Year
The Ministry of Trade has increased its nationwide inspections of stationery products ahead of the 2026-2027 educational term.
Trade Minister Bolat announced that inspections targeting the stationery sector have been intensified nationwide before the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Tens of Thousands of Companies Inspected
Throughout the month of August and within the first 10 days of September, a total of 33,182 companies were inspected within the scope of price tag and market surveillance and audit activities.
Through these comprehensive inspection efforts, millions of different products were meticulously examined with the aim of protecting consumer rights.
Millions of Products Checked
During the field inspections, a total of 5,952,000 products were examined individually and their compliance status in the market was reviewed.
The scope of inspections was expanded prior to the educational term to ensure that children and parents have access to safe products.
Administrative Sanctions Imposed
As a result of the examinations, administrative sanctions totaling 182 million 559 thousand liras were imposed on businesses found not to comply with the rules.
Ministry officials emphasized that effective combating of unfair commercial practices will continue uninterrupted.
Inspections Will Continue Throughout the Year
Field inspections will be resolutely maintained in order to protect market order and safeguard the economic interests of consumers.
Measures will continue to be kept at the highest level so that students can have a successful academic year in health, peace, and security.
