As a result of missile and munitions fire carried out by Iran, American bases in Jordan were targeted, though it was reported that these missiles were intercepted. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Bahrain also announced that they had been targets of the attacks, but no casualties were reported.
Missile Hits Wedding Venue
According to information reported by Iranian state media, an airstrike on a wedding venue in the town of Kuhestak along the Strait of Hormuz killed four people—including two women and two children—and injured at least 68 others. Weapons experts stated that missile remnants pointed to a U.S.-made SLAM-ER cruise missile.
Regional Conflicts and Economic Impacts
While Kurdish officials in Iraq announced that 10 explosives-laden drones were destroyed in the Erbil region, the Israeli military reported that two explosives-laden drones were launched toward its soldiers from southern Lebanon. As the impacts of the conflicts on the global economy continued, oil prices rose and the Iranian rial hit a record low against the dollar.
