Meeting in Tehran
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the capital Tehran to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
Emphasis on Negotiation and War
Pezeshkian stated in his assessment during the meeting that the core issue with the Washington administration is that every time they sit at the table, war is imposed upon them.
Assessments on US Intentions
Stating that the United States carried out attacks against his country while negotiations were ongoing, Pezeshkian argued that this clearly demonstrates an intention to destroy Iran rather than a pursuit of dialogue.
Nuclear Activities and Inspections
Stating that Iran has repeatedly proven its honesty in nuclear activities, Pezeshkian noted that his country is the most heavily inspected state by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Assassinations and Human Rights Claims
Recalling his statements at the UN podium, the Iranian President stated that following the inspections, nuclear centers and scientists were targeted and subjected to assassinations.
Minab School Attack
Stating that an account has not been given for the 168 children who lost their lives in the school attack in Minab, Pezeshkian criticized the mention of human rights despite this.
Public Decision and Relations with the Enemy
Pezeshkian added that negotiating with a party that continuously imposes sanctions, exerts pressure, and violates agreements makes no sense, and noted that the Iranian people do not accept this either.
