KAYSO President Büyüksimitci Emphasizes Industry Share in Growth and Financing
Kayseri Chamber of Industry President Mehmet Büyüksimitci evaluated the second-quarter growth data, demanding an increase in the share of the industrial sector, easier access to financing, and a predictable economy.
Speaking at the Kayseri Chamber of Industry August Ordinary Assembly Meeting, Chairman of the Board Mehmet Büyüksimitci discussed the growth performance of the Turkish economy and shared the expectations of the business world.
August Assembly Meeting Held
The Kayseri Chamber of Industry August Ordinary Assembly Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Assembly Vice President Mustafa Ateş. Assembly members, professional committee members, high advisory board members, and Kayseri Young Entrepreneurs Executive Committee members attended the meeting.
Global Risks and the Fight Against Inflation
Stating that global uncertainties continue, KAYSO Chairman of the Board Mehmet Büyüksimitci expressed that protectionist policies are strengthening and geopolitical risks persist. He emphasized that the fight against inflation must be carried out without detaching from production.
Second Quarter Growth and Industrial Performance
Stating that the Turkish economy grew by 2.3 percent in the second quarter of 2026, Büyüksimitci noted that the growth of the industry, which contracted in the first quarter of the year, in the second quarter is a sign of recovery, but this rate should not be considered sufficient.
Export Support and Access to Financing
Evaluating Trade Minister Ömer Bolat's statement that foreign exchange conversion support will be increased, Büyüksimitci touched upon the importance of these supports in terms of competitiveness. He reiterated that access to financing is one of the most important problems for industrialists.
Critical Date for Capital Increase
Issuing warnings regarding the minimum capital increase for joint-stock and limited liability companies, Büyüksimitci reminded companies that they must raise their capital to the specified lower limits. He noted that the deadline for this process is December 31, 2026.
60th Anniversary Industry Night to be Held
Announcing that the 60th Anniversary Industry Night will be held on September 14 within the scope of KAYSO's 60th founding anniversary, Büyüksimitci stated that Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu will also attend the program.
