Education and Career Path
Born in Adana in 1945, Gülsen Tuncer took lessons from Yıldız Kenter and Melih Cevdet Anday during her high school years before graduating from the Theater Department of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory.
Step into Theater
Stepping into professional theater in 1968 with the play Zilli Zarife at the Gülriz Sururi-Engin Cezzar Theater, the artist took part in numerous projects throughout her artistic career spanning over 50 years. Married to director and screenwriter Engin Ayça, Tuncer was particularly unforgettable for her portrayal of Aunt Arsen in the TV series Aşk-ı Memnu.
