The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has shared its internal borrowing strategy for the October-December period with the public. Accordingly, in the final quarter of the year, it is planned to carry out 630.7 billion liras of internal borrowing against 676.6 billion liras of internal debt service.

Final Quarter Borrowing Targets

The details of the financial operations to be carried out within the framework of the internal borrowing strategy for the October-December period announced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance have become clear. According to the disclosed data, in the final quarter of the year, a total of 630.7 billion liras of internal borrowing will be made against 676.6 billion liras of internal debt service.

Borrowing Projection by Month

According to the plan included in the ministry's strategy, an internal borrowing of 414.8 billion liras is projected in October against an internal debt service of 436.6 billion liras. In November, an internal borrowing of 110.4 billion liras is planned against an internal debt service of 122.7 billion liras.

In December, the final month of the year, an internal borrowing of 105.5 billion liras is expected against an internal debt service of 117.3 billion liras. Thus, the borrowing balance for the entire final quarter has taken shape.

Distribution and Sources of Internal Borrowing

It is targeted that 180.8 billion liras of the internal borrowing in October will consist of market borrowing, 220 billion liras of direct sales, and 14 billion liras of sales to the public sector. Of the borrowing in November, 50.4 billion liras will be met from the market, 20 billion liras from direct sales, and 40 billion liras from sales to the public sector.

It is projected that the borrowing expected to take place in December will consist of 90.5 billion liras from the market and 15 billion liras from sales to the public sector.

Auction and Payment Schedule

A total of 11 bond auctions will be held and 5 direct sales will be carried out throughout the specified period. It was reported that payments of 615.3 billion liras in October, 164.6 billion liras in November, and 137.9 billion liras in December will be made during this process.

It was noted that 241.2 billion liras of these total payments to be made will consist of external debt service.
