Net foreign exchange deficit of non-financial corporations increased in July

According to Central Bank data, the real sector's foreign exchange position deficit increased on a monthly basis in July.

According to July data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the net foreign exchange position deficit of non-financial corporations increased by 5 billion 27 million US dollars compared to the previous month, reaching 210 billion 802 million US dollars.

July 2026 Foreign Exchange Developments

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey shared the table of Foreign Exchange Assets and Liabilities of Non-Financial Corporations for July with the public.

According to the announced data, significant changes occurred in the total assets and liabilities of companies compared to June.

Distribution of Assets and Liabilities

According to the July period data, the assets of the companies recorded an increase of 2 billion 279 million US dollars.

The increase on the liabilities side was recorded as 7 billion 306 million US dollars.

Short-Term Position Status

In the July period, short-term assets stood at 151,772 million US dollars.

Short-term liabilities were calculated as 147,397 million US dollars, constituting 37 percent of total liabilities.

Short-Term Net Foreign Exchange Position

Companies' short-term net foreign exchange position decreased by 2,168 million US dollars compared to June.

As a result of this decrease, the short-term net foreign exchange position declined to 4,374 million US dollars.
