New Business Council Established Between Syria and Australia

The Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry has officially formed the Syrian side of the Syria-Australia Business Council as part of efforts to regulate the activities of joint business councils.

Board of Directors Appointments Made

According to the official statement by the ministry, prominent figures were appointed to the council's management cadre, and the new distribution of duties was finalized.

Marwan Al-Debbag was appointed as Council President, while Maria Al-Makdisi and Louay Al-Rifai were appointed as vice presidents.

Administrative Staff and Directorates

Within the scope of the council's administrative structure, Johnny Abbo was appointed as Executive Director, and Khaled Al-Muzayyil was appointed as Public Relations Director.

Additionally, Ammar Al-Hamad assumed the role of Treasurer, while Ibrahim Akbik took over the executive general secretariat of the council.

Working Procedures and Authorization

The council will operate in full compliance with the statutory provisions and implementation guidelines of Syria's international joint business councils.

In line with the decision taken, this structure stands as the sole official business council authorized on behalf of Syria in relations to be conducted with the Australian side.

Coordination and Follow-up Process

The Coordination Board of Syrian Joint Business Councils will closely monitor all activities of the newly established structure and ensure coordination with relevant institutions.

It will be meticulously supervised that the work to be carried out is in full compliance with the country's business councils system and national economic priorities.
