Google is about to remove free access to Gemini Flash and Pro

Google is preparing to update the subscription tiers of its Gemini artificial intelligence service, restricting the model options available to free users.

Restrictions for Free Users

Individuals using the Google Gemini service on the free plan will now only be able to access the Flash Lite model with this update.

New Fees in Paid Subscription Plans

Users who want to access the standard Flash model will need to upgrade to the Google AI Plus subscription by paying $4.99 per month.

New Placement of Top-Tier Models

The highest-tier Gemini Pro model and the Deep Think advanced reasoning option will be allocated to Google AI Pro or Ultra subscribers, priced at $19.99 or $99.99 per month, respectively.

Usage Levels and Limits

Google states that users will continue to be able to select low, medium, and high effort levels for the models, but high levels will consume the usage limit more quickly.
