New Formulas Evaluated in Payment Process for Fund Victims
The economic management has put new alternatives on the table to solve the problem of fund victims. Priority payment for investments under 1 million liras is on the agenda.
The economic management continues to evaluate new options to resolve the grievances experienced by fund victims. In meetings chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the possibility of making priority and fast payments to investors with less than 1 million liras is being discussed.
New Alternatives in the Payment Process
The economic bureaucracy is working on various options in order to resolve the issues of fund victims. In the ongoing evaluations, it is planned to give priority to investors below a certain amount.
Investments Under 1 Million Liras
In the draft payment plan prepared, the option of making priority and fast payments to investors with less than 1 million liras is on the table. In particular, keeping investors in money market funds prioritized in this process is being evaluated.
Resource Utilization and State Budget
It is stated that there is no situation such as directly transferring resources from the state budget for the payments in question. Collaterals in Takasbank and Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) investments of the funds stand out as alternative formulas.
Possibility of Changes in Liquidation List
New steps are being taken after some portfolio management companies reported that they could cover investor payments. Bulls Portföy, Pardus Portföy, and A1 Capital Portföy communicated that payments could be made for certain funds.
