On August 28, 2026, the management of Çağdaş Turgutreis Holiday Homes Complex sent a notary warning notice to former Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan on the grounds that she did not comply with communal living rules.
Threat of Lawsuit for Transfer of Property Ownership
The warning notice stated that if the actions continue, a lawsuit will be filed under the Condominium Law for the transfer of ownership of the independent unit, and litigation expenses will be demanded.
Allegations of Criminal Complaints
It was claimed that 7 staff members of the complex management also filed criminal complaints with the prosecutor's office against Gaye Erkan on grounds of insults, threats, and violence.
Residents' Complaints
Complex residents expressed concerns regarding the prolonged use of shuttle vehicles, the hanging of signs on trees along the coastal pathway, the unauthorized installation of platforms in common areas, and camera systems.
Additionally, allegations included interference with the parking arrangement, exerting pressure on hotel kitchen staff, and attempting to use personnel for personal errands.
