Number of registered job seekers surpassed 2.3 million in August

According to İŞKUR's August 2026 statistics, the total number of job-seeking citizens in the institution's records increased on an annual basis, exceeding the 2 million 337 thousand threshold.
Demographic Distribution of Registered Job Seekers
According to the institution's data, women made up more than half of the total registered job-seeking population in August, while the young population also held a significant share.
In the disclosed statistics, the share of young people aged 15 to 24 within the total was recorded at the level of 24.3 percent.
Job Placement and Open Position Data
While the number of people placed in jobs through the institution decreased in August, an increase was observed in open positions demanded by employers.
During the eight-month period between January and August, the highest job placement activity was realized in the manufacturing sector.
