Number of Trendyol Sellers and Orders Engaging in E-Exports Increased in Şanlıurfa

While e-commerce and e-export activities are spreading rapidly in Şanlıurfa, the number of sellers engaging in e-exports increased by 44.2 percent over the past year. According to Trendyol data, the growth in orders heading abroad from the city reached 108.5 percent.

The Rise of E-Exports in Şanlıurfa

Standing out with its technology and digitalization agenda by hosting TEKNOFEST, Şanlıurfa continues to carry its production power to new markets via e-commerce. The spread of e-commerce and e-exports in the city increases the access of local businesses to national and international markets.

According to Trendyol data, participation in e-exports in Şanlıurfa gained strong momentum over the past year. The number of Şanlıurfa-based sellers engaging in e-exports recorded an increase of 44.2 percent.

Record Growth Rate in Orders

The growth in orders sent abroad from Şanlıurfa reached 108.5 percent compared to the previous year. It was determined that a significant portion—40 percent—of active Trendyol sellers operating in the region engage in e-exports.

Gulf Countries and Target Markets

Gulf countries stand out with a 42 percent share in the e-export operations carried out by sellers from Şanlıurfa. In the country-by-country distribution, Azerbaijan ranks first.

Azerbaijan is followed by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, and Kuwait, respectively. In addition, shipments are made to different geographies such as Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechia, and Poland.

Prominent Product Groups and Chamber Statements

Textiles, home products, accessories, small home appliances, and personal care products come to the fore among Şanlıurfa's e-export items.

Mehmet Yetim, Chairman of the Board of the Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, drew attention to the city's e-export potential and stated that they aim to bring more local brands together with world markets.

Domestic Market Preferences

In domestic commercial activities, Istanbul was the largest market for sellers from Şanlıurfa with a rate of 20.3 percent. The Istanbul market was followed by the cities of Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Bursa, respectively.
