Plan for Talks Between Leaders
Rubio announced that there is currently no official meeting planned between US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In contrast, he stated that Trump is open to meeting with everyone.
Stating that he himself is ready to meet with Iranian officials within the scope of United Nations meetings, Rubio left the door open for potential diplomatic contacts. The Iranian side, on the other hand, signaled that diplomacy could be revived if the Washington administration takes concrete steps.
