Search for method continues for 131 funds decided to be liquidated by the CMB
Efforts by bank executives and board officials continue regarding the process and applicable method for 131 funds whose liquidation was decided by the Capital Markets Board.
The method by which 131 investment funds, whose liquidation was decided by the Capital Markets Board last week, will be liquidated has not yet been clarified.
Search for a Method in the Liquidation Process
According to information obtained from sources close to the Capital Markets Board, executives from Ziraat Bank and Türkiye İş Bankası, appointed for the liquidation of the funds, and board officials are continuing their joint work.
Records and Calculations Awaited
It is stated that the figures regarding the fund records have not yet been fully clarified at the current stage, and no concrete steps have been taken yet regarding portfolio size calculations.
Liquidation Decisions Taken
Last week, the Capital Markets Board decided to liquidate 131 funds belonging to Tera Portföy, Pusula Portföy, Hedef Portföy, Atlas Portföy, A1 Portföy, Pardus Portföy, and Bulls Portföy companies, halting transactions in all funds of these companies.
Bank Assignments
According to the procedures and principles determined by the Board, Türkiye İş Bankası will carry out the liquidation transactions of the funds within Tera Portföy, while Ziraat Bank will serve in the liquidation process of the funds belonging to the other 6 portfolio management companies.
Payment Details to Investors
Amounts to be obtained by converting fund assets into cash within the scope of liquidation will be transferred to the agreed accounts of investors in proportion to the shares they own.
Number of Investors and Those Affected
According to the official statement made by the Capital Markets Board, the total number of unique investors in the 131 funds belonging to the aforementioned 7 portfolio management companies was announced as 455,758 people according to Central Registry Agency records.
