Second Term of the Science with Girls for the Future Project Completed
The second term of the BİGE project, carried out in partnership with Halkbank and the Habitat Association, concluded with a Demo Day event. Moonlight, which develops art projects for the visually impaired, was chosen as the first place winner.
The second term of the Science with Girls for the Future project, implemented in cooperation with Halkbank and the Habitat Association to support female students in STEM and entrepreneurship fields, has come to an end. At the Demo Day event held at Halkbank Towers in Istanbul, finalist teams presented their projects before a jury.
Demo Day Event and Finals
The second term of the Science with Girls for the Future project, carried out in cooperation with Halkbank and the Habitat Association, concluded with a Demo Day event. The 10 finalist teams that successfully completed the Acceleration Program appeared before the jury in Istanbul.
The projects of female students receiving training and mentoring in areas such as artificial intelligence and energy were evaluated based on innovative approach criteria.
Award-Winning Projects
The Moonlight project, which developed color-based art projects for the visually impaired, achieved first place in the competition.
Andremoda came in second, aimed at children experiencing speech difficulties, while the micro-scale wind energy system Indexis ranked third.
International Opportunities and Awards
The winning teams gained cash prizes as well as the opportunity to be directed to international youth entrepreneurship programs.
It was announced that a special mobile application has been developed where project alumni can share knowledge and access career opportunities.
Future Goals and Statements
Halkbank General Manager Recep Süleyman Özdil announced that BİGE inspiration meetings will be held in other countries where they operate in 2027.
Habitat Association Vice Chairman of the Board Nesrin Serin Onkardeşler stated that they reached 2,887 young girls in two years.
