SME Loans and Liquidity Step with Central Bank Regulation
The Central Bank's reserve requirement regulations strengthen the banking sector's liquidity management and support economic activities.
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that the changes implemented by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in reserve requirement practices will strengthen banks' liquidity management and facilitate SMEs' access to financing.
Growth Limit Increased for SME Loans
Within the scope of the reserve requirement regulation made by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the growth limit applicable to SME loans was raised from 4.5 percent to 5 percent.
Reductions Made in Blocked Maintenance Ratios
In line with the new steps implemented, it was officially announced that blocked maintenance ratios for Turkish lira reserve requirements were lowered.
