Emphasizing that they will stand against economic pressures and the naval blockade targeting their country, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened to access if the US ends its attacks and the blockade.

Stance Against Economic Pressures

In an interview with an international television channel, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian evaluated the ongoing process with the US and economic pressures.

Stating that those who fail to achieve their goals through war have turned to economic pressures, Pezeshkian clearly expressed that they will not take a step back against these pressures.

Naval Blockade and the Strait of Hormuz

Drawing attention to the naval blockade imposed on his country, Masoud Pezeshkian noted that this maritime route is not the only alternative for their lives and that they will not achieve results through this method either.

Clarifying under what conditions the strategically important Strait of Hormuz will be opened, Pezeshkian emphasized that the US must stop the blockade and its attacks.

Oman and Muscat Contacts

Touching upon regional cooperation steps as well, Pezeshkian announced that the foreign ministers of Arab countries will come together in Muscat to sign the Oman-Iran joint Strait of Hormuz route agreement.
