Fight Against Inflation and Global Impacts

Expressing that global energy shocks and increases in commodity prices affect inflation, Şimşek announced that a serious slowdown has been observed in the rate of inflation increase and that the Medium-Term Program targets have largely been met.

Employee Rights and Budget Performance

Conveying that the budget deficit performance is much better compared to peer countries, Minister Şimşek reported that the salaries of civil servants, retirees, and all employees will continue to be increased by at least the inflation rate at all times.

Future Period Plannings

Minister Şimşek stated that the sliding scale system will not be maintained in next year's budget planning, and that any changes to corporate tax and income tax are not on their agenda for now.
