According to the weekly bulletin published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, the sector's total loan volume increased by 164 billion 595 million liras as of September 25, reaching 28 trillion 402 billion 282 million liras.

Change in Loan Volume

The total loan volume of the banking sector increased by 164 billion 595 million liras as of September 25, rising from 28 trillion 237 billion 686 million liras to 28 trillion 402 billion 282 million liras.

Total Deposit Increase

Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbank, recorded an increase of 122 billion 81 million liras last week, rising from 32 trillion 553 billion 270 million liras to 32 trillion 675 billion 352 million liras.

Distribution of Consumer Loans

The amount of consumer loans increased by 34 billion 253 million liras in this period, reaching 3 trillion 485 billion 459 million liras. Of this amount, 838 billion 850 million liras consisted of housing loans, 42 billion 375 million liras of vehicle loans, and 2 trillion 604 billion 234 million liras of personal loans.

Commercial Loans and Credit Cards

The amount of installment commercial loans increased by 18 billion 249 million liras, reaching a level of 4 trillion 283 billion 287 million liras. Banks' individual credit card receivables, on the other hand, increased by 23 billion 576 million liras to 3 trillion 463 billion 851 million liras.

Of the individual credit card receivables, 1 trillion 341 billion 67 million liras constituted installment debts, and 2 trillion 122 billion 784 million liras constituted non-installment debts.

Non-Performing Loans and Equity

Non-performing loans in the sector increased by 11 billion 305 million liras compared to the previous week as of September 25, rising to 887 billion 804 million liras; specific provisions were set aside for 668 billion 414 million liras of these receivables. In the same period, legal equity increased by 86 billion 126 million liras to 6 trillion 142 billion 471 million liras.
