Touristic Eastern Express Winter Season Schedule Announced

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Touristic Eastern Express will operate a total of 70 trips in both directions during the 2026-2027 winter season and individual tickets will go on sale on October 26, 2026.

Trip Dates and Direction Information

The Touristic Eastern Express will operate a total of 70 trips, with 35 trips in each direction during the 2026-2027 winter season.

Trips in the Ankara-Kars direction will take place between December 21, 2026, and March 10, 2027.

Trips in the Kars-Ankara direction will be carried out between December 23, 2026, and March 12, 2027.

Weekly Departure Days

Trains departing in the Ankara-Kars direction will carry passengers on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Trips in the Kars-Ankara direction will be organized on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The final trip in the Ankara-Kars direction will be completed on March 10, 2027, and the final trip in the Kars-Ankara direction on March 12, 2027.

Sightseeing Stops Along the Route

Passengers are offered the opportunity to closely experience the cultural values of Anatolia during the train journey.

Sightseeing stops will be made at the Erzincan and Erzurum stations in the Ankara-Kars direction.

During trips in the Kars-Ankara direction, breaks will be given at the İliç, Divriği, and Sivas stations.

Wagon and Capacity Information

The train that will serve throughout the season consists of sleeper and dining cars.

Each sleeper car contains 10 compartments, with two beds in each compartment.

A single sleeper car has a total capacity of 20 passengers, and the train also features one dining car.

Ticket Sales Schedule

The ticket sales process has been finalized to enable individual passengers to plan their travel.

Individual ticket sales will officially start on October 26, 2026.

Passengers will be able to easily obtain their tickets through TCDD Transportation sales channels.
