Turkey's Export Volume to Neighboring Countries Increased
In the January-September period, Turkey's exports to its seven neighboring countries increased compared to the same period last year, reaching approximately 21 billion dollars.
Turkey's exports to Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Greece increased by 3.2 percent in the January-September period, rising to 20 billion 931 million 878 thousand dollars.

According to information compiled from the Ministry of Trade data, Turkey's total exports to its seven neighboring countries increased on an annual basis in the January-September period. During this period, Turkey's overall total exports rose by 5.2 percent to 210 billion 973 million dollars.
Neighboring Countries with the Highest Exports
Among the neighboring countries, the country to which Turkey realized the highest exports was Iraq. While foreign sales to Iraq reached a level of approximately 6.7 billion dollars, this country was followed by Bulgaria, Greece, and Georgia, respectively.
Countries with the Highest Export Growth Rate
In the January-September period, the neighboring countries where annual export growth was recorded the highest were determined as Georgia, Syria, and Bulgaria. Exports to Georgia experienced an increase of approximately 19.6 percent.
Top Sectoral Products Sold to Neighbors
When examined on a sectoral basis, chemicals and products took first place in exports made to neighboring countries. A total of 3 billion 890 million 577 thousand dollars in sales was realized to the seven neighboring countries from this sector.
Sector with the Lowest Level
The lowest amount in total exports directed towards neighboring countries was recorded in the ornamental plants and products sector. The total export amount in this sector was calculated as 23 million 97 thousand dollars.
