Turkey's Gross National Product Exceeded 62 Trillion Liras in 2025

According to data announced by TURKSTAT, Turkey's Gross National Product increased by 41.4 percent in 2025, exceeding 62 trillion liras, while savings and borrowing rates were also clarified.

The Institutional Sector Accounts data for the year 2025 have been shared with the public by the Turkish Statistical Institute. According to the announced figures, the Gross National Product increased by 41.4 percent, reaching the level of 62 trillion 288 billion 195 million 804 thousand TL.

National Income and GNP Figures

According to the 2025 Institutional Sector Accounts results announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Gross National Product showed a significant increase. The total figure was recorded as 62 trillion 288 billion 195 million 804 thousand TL with an increase of 41.4 percent.

Distribution of Value Added

Non-financial corporations provided the highest contribution to the value added generated in the total economy. According to the realized data, the share of these corporations in total value added shaped at the level of 55.5 percent.

Distribution of Savings Rates

The ratio of total gross savings to Gross Domestic Product was realized as 29.9 percent in 2025. This rate was recorded as 15 percent in non-financial corporations, 9.1 percent in households, 1.7 percent in financial corporations, and 4.1 percent in general government.

Change in Household Savings Rate

The gross household savings rate, which expresses the ratio of household savings to disposable income, stood at 13.9 percent in 2024, and increased to 14.3 percent in 2025.

Borrowing Position of the Economy

Changes also occurred in the net lending and net borrowing position of the total economy. The economy, which was in a net borrowing position amounting to 0.9 percent of GDP in the previous year, maintained its net borrowing position at 1.8 percent in 2025.
