According to official data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Turkish economy grew by 2.3 percent in the second quarter of 2026. With this result, the uninterrupted growth process reached 24 quarters, and the gross domestic product exceeded $1.7 trillion as of the end of June.

Economic Growth and Quarterly Data

The Turkish economy continues to maintain its uninterrupted growth process without compromising on investment, exports, and employment during the period when the anti-inflation program is being implemented.

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Turkish economy recorded a growth rate of 2.3 percent in the second quarter of this year.

GDP and Volume Index Developments

The seasonally and calendar-adjusted gross domestic product chained volume index increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.

As of the end of June, the gross domestic product reached 73 trillion liras in Turkish lira terms, while in dollar terms it exceeded $1.7 trillion, breaking a record.

Sectoral Distribution and First-Half Figures

While the overall growth rate in the first half of the year materialized at 2.5 percent, the agricultural sector exhibited strong growth of 13.3 percent in the second quarter.

During the same period, industrial growth stood at 2.4 percent, while the construction sector experienced a contraction in the second quarter for the first time in 14 quarters.
