Turkish Exporters Assembly Announces August Export Demand Index Data
According to the Turkish Exporters Assembly Export Market Monitor data, demand conditions fell to their long-term average in August.
According to the August results of the Export Market Monitor published by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Export Demand Index decreased by 0.7% on a monthly basis and 0.1% on an annual basis, falling to the 100 level.
Details of the Decline in the Index
According to the data announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Export Demand Index declined to the 100 level, recording a decrease of 0.7% monthly and 0.1% annually in August.
Course of Demand Conditions
Despite declines in business confidence and consumer confidence in August, the demand index continued to hover around its long-term average thanks to partial improvements in unemployment, industrial production, and inflation.
Market Resilience Index
Calculated using social, economic, and political indicators, the TIM Market Resilience Index increased by 0.3% on a monthly basis and 0.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 100 in August.
General Evaluation
Despite the partial improvement in global geopolitical risks, the decline of the export demand index to its long-term average affected the state of resilience across export markets.
