Increase in Capacity and Vessel Count

While the total number of vessels, which was 2,234 at the end of 2025, increased by 1.3 percent to 2,262 as of July 1, 2026, the total capacity also recorded a 4.7 percent increase.

Development Data by Years

According to data from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs, the number of vessels, which was 569 in 2002, has risen to 2,262 today, while the capacity, which was 8.9 million DWT, has reached the level of 54.3 million DWT.
