Turkish Statistical Institute Announces September 2026 Inflation Data
According to the September 2026 data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, consumer inflation stood at 1.84 percent monthly and 29.73 percent annually.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) has officially shared the consumer and producer inflation figures for the September 2026 period with the public. Following the latest statements, the rates of change in economic indicators have become clear.
Rates in Consumer Inflation
According to the official data released, consumer prices recorded an increase of 1.84 percent on a monthly basis in September. Annual consumer inflation reached the level of 29.73 percent.
Change in the First Nine Months of the Year
Within the scope of developments in the consumer price index, the total increase rate compared to December of the previous year was recorded as 24.32 percent.
12-Month Averages and Rent Increase Rate
The rate of increase in consumer prices based on 12-month averages was 31.49 percent. In line with this rate, the maximum rent increase rate to be applied for homes and workplaces in October was determined as 31.49 percent.
Producer Price Index Data
Domestic producer prices increased by 2.07 percent on a monthly basis in September. Annual producer inflation stood at 27.38 percent.
