According to the data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Consumer Price Index increased by 1.84 percent on a monthly basis in August.
Annual CPI and Other Changes
The change in the CPI in August 2026 was realized at a rate of 31.51 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
ENAG Consumer Price Index Results
The Inflation Research Group also announced its self-calculated Consumer Price Index data for August to the public.

According to ENAG data, the monthly increase in August was 2.24 percent, while the annual inflation increase rate was calculated as 49.03 percent.
September Rent Increase Ceiling
With the announcement of TURKSTAT data, the ceiling increase rate that can be applied to home and workplace rents in September became clear as 31.79 percent.
Thresholds and Living Conditions
With the latest economic indicators announced, the hunger threshold rose to 37,388 TL, and the poverty threshold rose to the level of 121,786 TL.
