Global financial institution UBS has announced its current price expectations for the silver market. The bank forecasts that the per-ounce price will gradually increase in the upcoming period, climbing up to the $80 level.

Market Trend and Recent Status of Silver

Rising by 1.64 percent on Friday to $64.48 per ounce, silver recorded a decline of 2.6 percent on a weekly basis.

Starting the new week at $63.86, the precious metal's gram price is trading around 100.12 TRY in the domestic market.

UBS's Future Price Targets

Maintaining its forecasts despite fluctuations in the markets, UBS expects per-ounce silver to reach $70 in December 2026.

The bank also predicts that the $75 levels will be seen in March and June 2027, and the $80 level in September.

Fed Decisions and the Focus of Markets

For short-term movements, investors focused on the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) meeting held on September 15-16.

While UBS expects the Fed to go for a 25-basis-point interest rate hike, it emphasizes that the messages to be delivered will be critical rather than the decision itself.

Course of the US Dollar and Precious Metals

According to the bank's baseline scenario, a hawkish interest rate hike sufficient to provide broad-based support to the dollar is not expected.

It is stated that the absence of a significant strengthening in the dollar could support the process of silver prices recovering again.
