Escalating tensions between the US and Iran, and Russia and Ukraine, have increased supply concerns in global oil markets, pushing fuel prices to historic levels.
The 100 TL Threshold Will Be Exceeded in 45 Provinces
According to information provided by industry sources, if no additional steps are taken, prices will exceed the 100 TL threshold in 45 provinces with the new hike to be made on the liter price of diesel.
With the expected increase reflecting on the pump, for the first time in the history of the Republic, the liter price of a fuel product will exceed these levels.
Expected Levels in Major Cities
In major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, the liter price of diesel is estimated to reach approximately the 98 TL level with the new increase.
Current Fuel Price Table
As of September 15, 2026, on the Asian side of Istanbul, diesel is at 95.53 TL and gasoline is at 80.16 TL, while on the European side, diesel is at 95.65 TL and gasoline is at 80.31 TL.
While diesel is sold at 97.05 TL and gasoline at 81.55 TL in Izmir, diesel is at 96.77 TL and gasoline is at 81.26 TL in Ankara.
