AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala announced that social support for the ongoing Terror-Free Turkey and Terror-Free Region processes has risen above 85 percent. Emphasizing that the process will be concluded without allowing provocations, Ala stated that the roadmap regarding the new constitution studies is planned to be presented to the President in October.

Social Support Has Shown an Increase

AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala stated that the Terror-Free Turkey and Terror-Free Region policies were brought together with the nation through organizations.

Public Opinion Polls and Parliamentary Voting

Stating that public support for the process has increased from 75.9 percent to over 85 percent, Ala expressed that this situation is gratifying.

The adoption of the Draft Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration in Parliament with 467 votes demonstrated the support of society.

Regional Talks and Warning Against Provocation

It was noted that diplomatic talks with Iraq and Syria regarding the Terror-Free Region continue with determination.

Efkan Ala recorded that the process will be finalized as quickly as possible without ever allowing any provocations and negative manipulations.

New Constitution Studies and Roadmap

Touching upon the new constitution studies carried out by the AK Party, Efkan Ala announced that the roadmap on this issue will be submitted to the President within October.

It was stated that a broad search for consensus will be pursued throughout the process and, if deemed necessary, the text could be taken to a referendum for a public vote.
