Emine Erdoğan visited the Turkish National Botanical Garden, toured the Our Heritage Local Seed Garden, harvested products grown from ancestral seeds, and examined the greenhouses.
Welcome and Sapling Production Area
Upon her arrival at the Turkish National Botanical Garden, Emine Erdoğan was welcomed by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Deputy Minister Ahmet Bağcı, and other officials.
Touring the sapling production area first, Emine Erdoğan received detailed information from officials regarding the plant species grown there.
Visit to Our Heritage Local Seed Garden
Emine Erdoğan proceeded to the Our Heritage Local Seed Garden, established within the scope of the Our Heritage Local Seed project carried out under her auspices.
Touring the garden, which features 24 different vegetables and fruits grown from ancestral seeds, Emine Erdoğan received information about the cultivation processes of the products and performed a harvest.
Greenhouses and Agricultural Biodiversity Museum
Emine Erdoğan also examined the Ornamental Plants Production Center and the Soilless Agriculture Greenhouse, and then visited the Agricultural Biodiversity Museum.
Receiving information about the plant and food products exhibited in the museum, Emine Erdoğan also met with the children in the library.
Conclusion of the Visit and Presentation of Gifts
The visit was concluded following the comprehensive examinations carried out.
At the end of the visit, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı presented Emine Erdoğan with a painting featuring visuals of Turkey's local wheats.
