Evaluations from Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin in Bağcılar

Attending a program in Bağcılar, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin emphasized the culture of consultation and the terror-free Turkey process, stating that significant changes have taken place in the field of education over the last 20 years.

Consultation and Field Studies

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin visited Bağcılar within the scope of the Century of Turkey Meetings. During the visit, he stated that the AK Party places the culture of consultation at the center of politics.

Stating that ministers and deputies are out in the field across all 39 districts of Istanbul, Tekin noted that they listen to the problems of citizens and convey them to the relevant institutions.

Terror-Free Turkey Process

Minister Tekin reminded that Turkey suffered great losses due to terrorism in past years. In this direction, he expressed his gratitude to all segments supporting the terror-free Turkey process.

He stated that major steps have been taken to transform into a state of law where people are not marginalized due to their ethnic and religious identities.

Developments in the Field of Education

Conveying that significant investments have been made in the field of education in recent years, Tekin reported that the number of students per classroom has decreased significantly.

He emphasized that more than twice the number of classrooms built during the Republican era have been constructed and that the largest share of the budget has been allocated to education.

Technological Investments and International Evaluation

Stating that there are interactive smart boards in a total of 660,000 classrooms excluding kindergartens, Tekin indicated that the technological infrastructure has been strengthened.

He conveyed that it was stated by the OECD Secretary-General at the PISA 2025 Regional Meeting that Turkey has carried out an education revolution in the last two decades.
